Vermilion Cliffs
While climbing the ledges of the Vermilion Cliffs in Arizona I turned a corner and was blown away at what lay in front of me, as if waiting for me to discover it. The sun was falling fast and I was all alone–I grabbed my camera to quickly catch the dance of light against the surface of the cliff. I was miles from camp but knew this shot was critical and couldn’t stand to miss this perfect glimpse of Mother Nature’s beauty. I was amazed at the colors before me–the majestic ripples of rock etched into the purples and reds of the canyon’s surface.
